Dots is a feature, Plus is a plan
This comparison has a small naming trap: Dots lives inside ChatGPT. You do not replace ChatGPT with Dots. You change plans to get access to an agent that can carry ongoing work between conversations. Think assistant with a standing assignment, rather than another tab waiting for a prompt.
Does ChatGPT Plus include Dots?
Not currently. Pro access excludes the EEA, Switzerland, and the UK, and rollout can take several days. Business Premium and an admin-enabled Enterprise beta are other routes. There is no confirmed Plus launch date to put on your calendar.
What should the extra $80 do for you?
Pick a chore that keeps coming back: a weekly competitor brief, a morning calendar check, or collecting project updates. These are task ideas, not promised results. If your whole plan is “meet the cute bot,” that is a fairly expensive meet-and-greet. If it handles work you already need done, the upgrade has something useful to prove.
Already on Pro? Put the included Dot to work
The first Dot adds no separate subscription fee. Once access reaches you, try a real chore and inspect the result. No need to buy a pricier Pro tier just to introduce yourself: Pro 100 is the entry tier. The current range also includes Pro 200 and Pro 500; those are whole-plan upgrades, not additional Dot tickets.
Included does not mean an infinite work budget
